This renewed call comes as part of activities marking the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence, observed globally from November 25 to December 10, 2025. Enugu Govt to Hold Town Hall on Digital Land Transformation, Dec 2

The Enugu State Government has announced that it will hold a major Stakeholders’ Town Hall Meeting on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, as part of its ambitious Digital Land Transformation Programme.  The meeting, which will take place at The Dome Hall of the Enugu International Conference Centre beginning at 10:00 a.m. prompt, is expected to bring together a wide range of land-related stakeholders from across the state. 5-Day Final Notice: Abandoned Cars and Illegal Roadside Activities to Attract Sanctions

The Enugu State government has issued a joint notice directing the removal of all abandoned and broken-down vehicles from public roads, warning that enforcement operations will commence on Tuesday, November 25, 2025. The Ministry of Works and Infrastructure and the Enugu Capital Territory Development Authority (ECTDA) made this known, stating that vehicle owners, mechanics, and others occupying road verges and unauthorised spaces have a five-day grace period from the announcement date to remove their vehicles. The agencies expressed concern over the growing number of abandoned and derelict vehicles, as well as the use of road corridors as makeshift mechanic workshops. Activities such as oil spillage, fuel leakage, welding, and other unregulated operations on the roads have weakened asphalt, damaged road structures, obstructed traffic, and posed safety risks to road users. The Enugu State Chapter of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), has paid tribute to Mr. Norbert Okolie, the Media Officer for Rangers International Football Club, who died on 16 November, 2025 after a prolonged illness. In a condolence statement signed by its Chairman, Gideon Iwueke, the association said it had “received with deep sorrow the news of the passing of Mr. Norbert Okolie, who departed this life on 16 November, 2025 after a prolonged illness.” Okolie, a Former Chairman of the Enugu SWAN Chapter, was described as “more than a media practitioner” and “a pillar of professionalism whose contributions enriched Nigerian sports journalism.” Born on 23 September, 1973, he established himself as an International Journalist and Photojournalist, earning widespread respect.
