Enugu Gov't Shifts Stakeholders’ Townhall on Land Sector Reforms to January 29

The session will hold at The Dome Hall, Enugu International Conference Centre, starting at 10:00 a.m. The rescheduling was announced by the Commissioner for Information and Communication, Dr. Malachy Agbo, via the Ministry of Information and Communication’s official Facebook page , highlighting the need for better coordination and participation of relevant stakeholders across the state’s land administration system. Enugu Govt to Hold Town Hall on Digital Land Transformation, Dec 2

The Enugu State Government has announced that it will hold a major Stakeholders’ Town Hall Meeting on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, as part of its ambitious Digital Land Transformation Programme.  The meeting, which will take place at The Dome Hall of the Enugu International Conference Centre beginning at 10:00 a.m. prompt, is expected to bring together a wide range of land-related stakeholders from across the state. 5-Day Final Notice: Abandoned Cars and Illegal Roadside Activities to Attract Sanctions

The Enugu State government has issued a joint notice directing the removal of all abandoned and broken-down vehicles from public roads, warning that enforcement operations will commence on Tuesday, November 25, 2025. The Ministry of Works and Infrastructure and the Enugu Capital Territory Development Authority (ECTDA) made this known, stating that vehicle owners, mechanics, and others occupying road verges and unauthorised spaces have a five-day grace period from the announcement date to remove their vehicles. The agencies expressed concern over the growing number of abandoned and derelict vehicles, as well as the use of road corridors as makeshift mechanic workshops. Activities such as oil spillage, fuel leakage, welding, and other unregulated operations on the roads have weakened asphalt, damaged road structures, obstructed traffic, and posed safety risks to road users. Malam Shehu Mohammed, Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Corps In line with its proactive approach to enhancing national security, the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has directed the immediate clampdown on confirmed cases of fake diplomatic and other unauthorized number plates on vehicles plying Nigerian roads. Investigations revealed that these number plates were fraudulently produced by suspected criminals and were neither issued by any FRSC production plant nor by any State Motor Licensing Authority. The identified fake and unauthorized number plates include, but are not limited to: DIPLOMATIC NUMBER PLATES NYCN PEACE AMBASSADOR NAUS CYMS UN-UNITY 01 UN-AMB NANS Etc.
