NAWOJ official logo The Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), Enugu State Chapter, is urging women journalists to step up awareness and share knowledge to combat violence against women and girls. This renewed call comes as part of activities marking the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence, observed globally from November 25 to December 10, 2025. In a statement signed by the State Chairperson, Comrade Ngozi Ngene, and the Secretary, Comrade Nnenna Igwe, NAWOJ emphasized the urgent need for increased sensitization on critical laws such as the Violence Against Persons Prohibition (VAPP) Act and the Administration of Criminal Justice Laws, which provide protection and legal pathways for survivors.
