Mohammed Idris, FNIPR, has released key highlights of Federal Executive Council (FEC) decisions under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR. The announcement covers power, infrastructure, civil service benefits, and digital services, as outlined below: Power Sector The council has approved the creation of the Grid Asset Management Company Limited (GAMCO) to improve electricity transmission and make the national power grid more efficient. A special committee will also be set up to ensure the company begins operations quickly. Civil Service Retiring employees of treasury-funded Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) will now benefit from an additional Exit Benefit Scheme.
