The Enugu State Chapter of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), has paid tribute to Mr. Norbert Okolie, the Media Officer for Rangers International Football Club, who died on 16 November, 2025 after a prolonged illness. In a condolence statement signed by its Chairman, Gideon Iwueke, the association said it had “received with deep sorrow the news of the passing of Mr. Norbert Okolie, who departed this life on 16 November, 2025 after a prolonged illness.” Okolie, a Former Chairman of the Enugu SWAN Chapter, was described as “more than a media practitioner” and “a pillar of professionalism whose contributions enriched Nigerian sports journalism.” Born on 23 September, 1973, he established himself as an International Journalist and Photojournalist, earning widespread respect.
