In Udi LGA, Enugu State: Ude Family of Amachalla Okwujo Announces the Glorious Transition and Burial Invitation of Their Beloved Patriarch, HRH Igwe Colonel Christian Chukwuma Ude (Rtd), Aged 95


It is with deep sorrow but with gratitude to God for a life well spent that the Ude Family of Amachalla Okwujo Community, in conjunction with the Igwe-in-Council and the entire good people of Ime-Ama Ngwo Autonomous in Udi Local Government Area of Enugu State, do announce the passing of their beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, in-law, and traditional ruler:

His Royal Highness, Igwe Colonel Christian Chukwuma Ude (Rtd), fondly known as "Igwe Gburugburu – The Old Soldier", who departed this life at the glorious age of 95 years.

The Ude Family, alongside the Amachalla Okwujo Community, Igwe-in-Council, and the Ime-Ama Ngwo Autonomous Community cordially invites friends, well-wishers, and sympathizers to join them in celebrating the remarkable life and legacies of this noble icon through the following burial/funeral arrangements as follows:

WEDNESDAY, 28th MAY, 2025 – Commendation Service at 10:00 AM
Venue: House of Assembly Complex, 3 Arms Zone, Independence Layout, Enugu Followed by a visit to Udi Local Government Secretariat at 12:00 Noon.

THURSDAY, 29th MAY, 2025
Wake at 6:00 PM
Venue: His Palace, Royal Home, Amachalla Okwujo, Ime-Ama Ngwo, Udi LGA, Enugu State.

FRIDAY, 30th MAY, 2025 
Burial Service at 10:00 AM
Venue: State Primary School, Ishiokpoto Okwujo, Ime-Ama Ngwo.

On SATURDAY, 31st MAY, 2025 —
Continuation of Funeral Rites at 1:00 PM Venue: State Primary School, Ishiokpoto Okwujo, Ime-Ama Ngwo.

On SUNDAY, 1st JUNE, 2025 –
Outing Service at 10:00 AM
Venue: St. Peter’s Anglican Church, Okwujo, Ime-Ama Ngwo.
